The Sharing Nature Program, known in Japan as "Nature Game," has received a great deal of positive recognition over the years. I am proud to announce that the Japan Nature Game Association has a new facility to focalize and promote Sharing Nature throughout Japan. Last summer, we were delighted to be able to invite Joseph for the opening ceremony.

Bernhard Neugirg, Sharing Nature's German coordinator, also attended the
school's opening. The forest surrounding Bernhard is close to the
school, and provides a wonderful and inspiring site for nature awareness activities.

Located in a national park in the Japanese Alps, the new Togakushi Nature School is surrounded by beech and fir forest and marshlands, while golden eagle, black bear, marten and many other small mammals inhabit its rich environment. Nearby Togakushi Village has been a center of Shintoism for thousands of years. The school's location and setting is perfectly suited for the development of programs that combine nature, agriculture, and local culture, and to illustrate how they relate to global issues.
