Oct 26th, Public Lecture on Deep Nature Play
Join us for an experiential talk by renowned author, educator and naturalist, Joseph Cornell. For over 30 years, Cornell has inspired people across the globe through Sharing Nature Worldwide, a movement dedicated to helping children and adults deepen their relationship with nature.
His new book, Deep Nature Play: A Guide to Wholeness, Aliveness, Creativity, and Inspired Learning, is a reminder that play, no matter your age, can energize and enliven your experience of nature. When we are absorbed in deep play, our sensory awareness is heightened, and we become immersed in the present moment and feel intensely alert and alive. Animals and humans alike engage in play to stimulate curiosity and discovery, and utilize it as an intrinsic practice for stimulating creativity and expressing joy.
Spend the evening with Joseph Cornell, and learn how you can infuse play into your life to enhance your experience of the outdoors, boost your concentration, revive your sense of wonder, and have fun!
